Maggie's distant cousin?

Yesterday we met a Akita-Husky mix named Matty-girl. 

She was really beautiful but extremely aloof with people. 

But Maggie being a people dog and choosy with whom she plays, 

they didn't really care much for each other.

She found a pine cone to bring home instead.

Hike in Santa Cruz

Thankfully we didn't run into any mountain lions this time.

 

 

Last weekend we enjoyed a half-day hike at Loch Lomond Recreation Area in SC. Despite the sprinkles and the shower we experienced at the end of the trail, it was a beautiful, scenic hike.
Maggie seemed to enjoy getting her paws wet in the shallow creeks we passed through.
We will definitely be returning for camping here in the summer time!
