Happy Holidays

Maggie got only one present from Santa but she had fun playing with her new toy. 

 

Maggie is pooped after spending three days at Dogpile for the holidays. 

This was the first time she spent days and nights away from her parents for more than 24 hrs!

Foraging in the Forest

Yesterday we went mushroom foraging in Oakland Hills. The forest is so beautiful this time of year with so much color, smell and sounds. Maggie had lots of fun running around the trails at Lake Chabot Regional Park. She saw lots of pup pals there so she's hoping her parents will take her there again soon...

Chewbacca

"bacca"or "baka" means stupid in Japanese. It can also mean someone is crazy about something in the most fervorous way. Therefore Maggie is a Chewbacca today. She chewed up a pen so we replaced it with cow ears and they're disappearing fast! The one on the left is a brand new cow ear and it will eventually look like the ones on the right.

The Ultimate Playground For Dogs

Maggie had loads of fun at Point Isabel dog park this weekend. Every dog should check this place out for sure. There's trails, open space, water, fresh air and a phenomenal view!

Maggie alarm

Maggie is generally a quiet dog. She will let out a few barks here and an occasional howl there when she hears noise outside our apartment. This morning I was awaken by her series of howls because someone was moving out of the apartment and making racket in our hallway.
She didn't stop barking until the moving truck drove away. Good work Maggie!

How many chew hides, cow ears and tails has Maggie gone through I do not know. At least she is chewing on them and not our leather couch!

They both got a new toy and a few bites of steak!

Maggie met some farm animals this weekend at the Potrero Hill Festival 2010.
She was a bit afraid of the llamas and the ponies.

A Typical Day

I had nothing better to do today so I chronicled Maggie's day.

Maggie's day starts with the
surveying of the neighborhood.

Breakfast (usually kibble).




A walk to the neighborhood park for potty.

A drive to a fun destination such as Fort Funston

or Bernal Heights Hill (when the owner has a day off).

Belly rub and a nap.

Afternoon playtime at Esprit Park.
Maggie waits for her friends to arrive.

''Chase me!''

Dinner Time (raw lamb/chicken/beef).

Playing fetch at home.

Winding down.

Off to sleep....

Tired from doggy daycare

Maggie had her first day at Dogpile Dogs yesterday, a neighborhood doggy daycare. She's been sleeping since she got back last night... and won't look like she's getting up anytime soon either.

Almost one

Maggie will be turning a year old in less than 3 weeks! Yay! We're thinking of getting her a big juicy steak and a birthday hat.
